Q: What is the maximum number of wedding guests you can cater for at your Warwickshire wedding venue?

A: Woodside has a variety of the finest civil ceremony rooms in Kenilworth, as well as private dining rooms to cater for anything between 10 guests to 120 guests for a plated service. As an alternative, for a buffet style meal, we can cater for up to 180 guests on an informal seating basis.


Q: Do you charge fees for your wedding reception room hire?

A: No. When our wedding package is taken alongside an evening meal, based on minimum numbers, then there are no room hire charges for the bar lounge, conservatory or orchard restaurant. Only for the hire of our Civil Ceremony room.


Q: How long is a Civil Ceremony?

A: Depending on how many readings you have, or which verses you choose to say to each other, a civil ceremony can be anything between 15 - 30 minutes duration.


Q: Can you supply music for the ceremony?

A: Yes, we have a great range of ceremony musicians to recommend to you if you would like live music at your ceremony. Alternatively, you can provide us with your chosen ceremony music on a CD or iPod and we will happily look after the operation of this during your ceremony.


Q: Do we need to book the venue before the ceremony venue/registrars?

We can hold a provisional date for you for up to 14 days, so you can check availability with the relevant people at your chosen ceremony venue and ensure that both of us are free for you.


Q: Is there a fee for using the grounds and gardens at Woodside Country House wedding venue in Warwickshire?

A:  No. Within the all-inclusive wedding packages at Woodside, private use of the grounds adjoining the conservatory and front lawn are included throughout the day. All other areas of the venue are accessible to all guests.

 

Q: Do you hold a license for Marquees.

A: Unfortunately not. However, we have a beautifully styled contemporary dining room with fantastic views, and access, across the gardens and grounds at this stunning wedding venue in Kenilworth.


Q: Will I receive a menu tasting prior to my Wedding day?

A: Yes. A menu tasting will be offered to you around 2-3 months prior to your wedding date, which is complimentary for the couple celebrating.  For a supllementary charge, additional guests may join you for dinner if you wish (a maximum of 6 guests may attend the menu tasting).

If you select a hog raost or BBQ wedding breakfast a complimentary lunch tasting will be offered instead.


Q: Do you cater for all dietary requirements?

A: Yes. Our team of chefs are always delighted to cater for any dietary requirements. As our food is all freshly prepared in our own kitchens we know just what goes into each dish so we know just what to take out when needed! If a dish cannot be adjusted to suit, of course, we will provide an equally fabulous alternative option.


Q: Can you play music during our drinks reception and wedding breakfast?

A: Yes, we can provide a music system within the bar area and orchard restaurant to play CD's and mp3's.

Unfortunately we do not have a piped speaker system at Woodside to play music around the bar, conservatory and orchard restaurant.  As an alternative, you may wish to consider musicians to play through these periods, or if you hire a PA system for the speeches then you may choose to take advantage of this and also use it to play background music too.


Q: Do you provide table decorations, place cards and table plans?

A:  Menu cards for each table are complimentary as part of our all-inclusive wedding packages. Place cards and a table plan can be provided at an additional cost. And we can recommend local suppliers for table decorations, our suplliers offer a wide range of services from centrepieces to wedding favours and wedding stationary.


Q: Do you provide a cake stand and knife?

A: Yes. We are pleased to provide a square silver cake stand which accommodates a round cake of up to 16 inch diameter, with a matching silver cake knife.


Q: Do you allow tea lights and candles?

A:  Yes, during the wedding breakfast we welcome tea lights and candles. These will then be removed/extinguished prior to the evening reception for health and safety reasons. (All tea lights and candles provided must be displayed in the correct holders i.e rounded tea light holders as opposed to plates etc.)


Q: Do you allow fire works and flying lanterns?

A: Unfortunately, due to our location with nearby residential areas and surrounding woodland, we cannot carry a license for Fireworks and do not allow for the lanterns. However, our experienced wedding planner is pleased to help you with alternative ideas to add a special touch to your big day!


Q: Who will set or dress the tables on the wedding day?

A: Our dedicated team, which is led by the master of ceremonies, will more than happily dress your tables, set place cards and direct suppliers with centrepieces, wedding cakes etc to the correct places. In the run up to your big day your wedding planner will liase closely with you to ensure that the team at Woodside have a full knowledge of how your room is to be set.


Q: Will there be someone looking after us on our big day?

A: You will have a dedicated duty manager assigned to your special day for the duration, to ensure all runs smoothly.


Q: What time is the bar licensed until?

A: Our bar is licensed until 1.00am, but we can provide a bar extension on request, for an additional fee.


Q: Can you recommend any local suppliers?

A: Over time, Woodside has built some great relationships with suppliers within the local area who are only too happy to speak with you, talk through your requirements and offer a fantastic service to meet your needs.  The wedding planner will be pleased to give you contact details for relevant suppliers.


Q: What time can our guests check in?

A: Your guests can check in from 1.30pm, making full use of our leisure facilities including an indoor swimming pool, fitness suite, sauna, tennis courts and pitch'n'putt golf course. We will endeavour to provide an earlier check in where requested, but cannot guarantee this.


Q: Do you offer discounted accommodation rates?

A: Yes, we do offer discounted Warwickshire wedding accommodation rates for your guests, with a further reduction available for a two night stay or longer. Our Wedding planner can provide further details on this.


Q: Do you require a deposit to secure the booking?

A: Yes, we do request a non refundable deposit to secure your booking. Two further payments will then be required to follow, to make up the full pre-payment of your wedding day. Our payment terms are detailed in our wedding brochure, however, we are happy to discuss a flexible payment plan, tailored to you, if required.


Q: Is VAT Included in the quotes prices per person?

A: Yes, VAT is included in all of our packages at the current rate.
